Downtown Austin
A nice big city Fireworks show and cool crowd. Getting to the bridges can be tough so go early. The Fireworks are shot over the river at the Congress street bridge with music by the Austin Symphony Orchestra’s Website. If you want to get a nice spot near the bridge come early, plan on walking at least a little bit, or spring for a pedi cab ride or try to grab a scooter.
Lake LBJ – Horseshoe Bay Resort
The golf and tennis resort in Horseshoe bay is nice. A great place to take the family for a trip to lake luxury style. They typical have a nice show and you can avoid the crowds and hassle. The ATX Surf have a boat and will travel, so this will most likely be our destination of choice in 2019.
Hill Country Galleria
Starts at 4:00 Live Music, local vendors, fair rides, all in this great little Texas Hill Country neo urban strip mall town.
Will Nelson’s Picnic at Q2
Willy has moved the show the the futball stadium in 2022, Not sure if fireworks are planned for the first show at the new venue.
Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival
The fun kicks off at 5:00 with food, live music, and stuff for the kids to-do.
Georgetown
Georgetown still has is’t small town charm even though Austin is closing in fast. A great place to spend America’s birthday.
Lake Travis
The lake is a great place to watch the fireworks, especial if you have access to a boat. There are multiple shows all over Lake Travis. Voletene Beach\ Starnes Island is the place to go, but the have it on July 3 so it’s a little tough for this guy to get too worked up about it.
