Circle C HAPPY HOUR AUSTIN

Staff Favorite Bars and Restaurants in Circle C and Oak Hill

District kitchen

Is the classiest hippest joint in circle C, and it also has the best happy hr deals in the neighborhood. Their ½ price appetizers are happy hour legendary. Drink specials are pretty good too.

Satellite grill

It’s a bit of an older crowd kinda place, but every time a go there I say “I don’t know why we don’t come here more often” The menu is a bit limited. I have never order anything except the pork chop. The chop is geat:

Backspin

If we are going to get technical about what is a bar and not a restaurant, this is the only bar in Circle C. If we are going to get Technical about what is Circle C, backspin is on the wrong side of Mopac. It’s a cool place with decent food. It’s the only place in Circle C serving drinks til closing time, and food is generally available late night.

Torches Circle C

This is our home away from home these days. It has nice large bar and friendly patrons.

  • Monday thru Friday 3-6 $1.5 off beers off $2 off drinks
  • Saturday and Sunday all day 3.50 sangria, boldly, mimosas and tequila sunrise

AppleBeeze

DollarRita’s are a national social media phenomenon, and this place is “Classic” Beez!

  • Wednesday 1$ Rita’s It’s like a mini Marg in a pony beer mug.
  • Happy hours and drink all 7 days a week.

Jack Allens

One of the nicest restaurant in the Oak Hill Area. They have great deals on appetizers. They have two nice bars, one inside and one outside. The outside one is sheltered even when it’s a light rain. A nice place to watch the NFL.

Doc’s Backyard

The biggest sports bar in our neck of the woods. They have a plethora of TV and indoor and outdoor seating. There is a large playground for the little kids. Shuffle board and watch parties. They have daily specials and good happy hour deals Monday – Friday. The fried avocado is one of my favorite tex mex dishes in Austin. Though it has a tendency to disappear from the menu sometimes. Bummer the Golden Tea machine is no longer.

Pluckers

The famous Austin wing join opened up a location in the Y right before Covid hit. The trivia night is packed. It’s busy but not slammed for most big time sporting events. They stay open later than most of the other places besides AppleBeez, Boomerz, and “Detour” in the area.

  • Daily Specials on Food and Drinks

Your Asia

A top notch sushi restaurant. The bar is also sometimes up later than others in the area. They also feature a happy hour and a reverse happy hour (late night happy hour), including good deals on Suishi and other food.

“Detours”

So this is more of an oak hill joint, just a few miles north of Circle C. The crowd is definitely blue collar. It’s not even called detours anymore, but it’s still a bar open til 2:00 and that is something in this party of Austin.

Boomers

If you think fancy pants are a good thing, you’re probably not going to like this place. If you think fancy pants were invented by communist, Boomers is rarely lacking in patrons and excitement.
